Update: After months in the hospital trying to get Kendra's bones to regenerate and heal the decision was made to remove her leg. She is healing well and learning to get around with only 3 legs. Because part of her shoulder was also removed her balance has been difficult to get back. Now, after a few months, she is getting around great. Kendra is ready for her forever home now. Kendra does well with other dogs and animals, she's curious about kitties. We don't recommend her in a home with small children.

We pulled Kendra from the shelter and put her immediately into the hospital. She had a compound fractured front leg that was severely infected. The vet was able to surgically repair her leg and get the infection under control. Everything was healing nicely and then, her leg rebroke! Kendra is back in the hospital, she's had additional surgery, a splint/cast, and medications. We can't wait to get her back!
